No matter what happens Friday night, Robin van Roosmalen will no longer be the Glory featherweight champion.
Roosmalen (12-3 Glory; 36-6 overall) missed weight by 1.8 pounds, forcing the promotion to strip the Dutch fighter of the belt. However his opponent, Matt Embree (2-0 Glory; 39 - 7 overall), hit the mark and with a win can gain the featherweight title. The Canadian won the opportunity to face Roosmalen back in September at Glory 33 winning an one night tournament.
The fight will headlining the Super Fight series, which will stream on UFC Fight Pass.
The main card, which will air on ESPN 3 live and ESPN 2 on tape delay will be headlined by a middleweight title fight between champion Jason Wilnis of the Netherlands (6-4 Glory; 29 - 6 - 1 overall) battling Glory tournament winner Israel Adesanya (2 - 1 Glory; 65 - 3 overall).
An one night welterweight tournament will also happen to find a contender tgo face Glory champion Cedric Doumbe.
Bellator MMA tournament champion Zoila Frausto will be making her Glory debut in a superfight against Germany’s Sheila Graf.
