Video: Ronda Rousey First Six Professional Armbar Wins

UFC 207 is less than 10 days away and features the return of one of MMA’s most exciting fighters to ever compete, and arguably the greatest female fighter to ever step foot in the Octagon. Ronda Rousey is scheduled to face current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes in her first fight after suffering the first ever professional loss in her career via knockout to Holly Holm at UFC 193 over 12 months ago.

Rousey has announced before the December 30, 2016 bout that this fight will be one of her last. Not only has Ronda Rousey been one of the most dominant female fighters the sport of MMA has ever seen, she was also the first female to be signed by the UFC and paved the road for the many females in the sport in an organization that now features 3 Women’s divisions.

Ronda has had 13 professional fights. 7 in the UFC, 6 of which she was victorious and the latest in which she suffered her first defeat. In the first 6 bouts Rousey spent a mere 1,077 seconds inside the Octagon. She was paid $1,080,000 in disclosed pay equating to over $1,000 a second spent fighting in the UFC. Before the 6 UFC victories were 6 armbar wins in Strikeforce, Hard Knocks Fighting, and King of the Cage.

March 27, 2011 - King of the Cage: Turning Point. Ronda Rousey defeats Ediane Gomes via Armbar at 0:25 of Round 1 in Tarzana, California.

June 17, 2011 - Hard Knocks Fighting Championship: School of Hard Knocks 12. Ronda Rousey defeats Charmaine Tweet via Armbar at 0:49 of Round 1 in Calgary, Alberta.

August 12, 2011 - Strikeforce Challengers: Gurgel vs. Duarte. Ronda Rousey defats Sarah D’Alelio via Armbar at 0:25 of Round 1 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

November 18, 2011 - Strikeforce Challengers: Britt vs. Sayers. Ronda Rousey defeats Julia Budd via Armbar at 0:39 of Round 1 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

March 3, 2012 - Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey. Ronda Rousey defeats Miesha Tate via Armbar at 4:27 of Round 1 in Columbus, Ohio. This fight was Rousey’s Bantamweight debut and she also won the Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Championship.

August 18, 2012 - Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman. Ronda Rousey defeats Sarah Kaufman via Armbar at 0:54 of Round 1 in San Diego, California. Rousey defended her Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Championship in this fight, and it also was the last fight before Strikeforce was acquired by ZUFFA and Rousey was promoted to UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion.
