“I’m gonna be competing in the NAGA Worlds, in Texas, where I’m hoping to become the first world champion in our area,” Marcos Ithier told MMAnewsline.com back on September 2.
That wish became a reality on December 10, as the 43-year-old owner of Xtreme Ambition MMA & Fitness became the first ever 2X NAGA Jiu-Jitsu World Champion from the Southern Tier.
MMAnewsline.com caught up with the Champ at his Gym last week.
“This marks eight years since my father passed and I win two world titles — It’s a special day,” said Ithier, who resides in Endwell, NY.
The day Ithier won, he told MMAnewsline: “December 10 isn’t just his day he passed. Now, it’s a day of remembrance because my dad pushed me so hard.”
“Coach Marcos” will now turn his attention to coaching his students, but he didn’t rule out obtaining more accolades along the way.
“Maybe I could become the oldest Olympian, that’s another dream of mine.”
Xtreme Ambition MMA & Fitness is located at 54 Washington Avenue in Endicott, NY.
