Masvidal to Cerrone: Make UFC Great Again

Sure, Donald Cerrone just beat Matt Brown last weekend at UFC 206 etching his name further in the record books and picking up his fourth victory in the Octagon since February.  The total number of Donald Cerrone head kick victims moved to 6 and Cowboy moves to top of the list in UFC history when it comes to kicks to the dome. In  less than 60 days the UFC returns to Cerrone’s hometown, Colorado’s capital city of Denver, and Cowboy had already made it clear before his UFC 206 fight that he wanted to fight in front of his friends, family, and local fans.  After defeating Brown this past Saturday in Toronto, when speaking with Megan Olivi post fight, Cerrone again emphasized how much he wanted to fight on the January 24th event.

Today Cerrone took to Twitter with a vague message for all UFC Welterweights. “Any and All 170 lb ers Please don’t respond to this just call @danawhite or joe Silva and say ” I will fight Cowboy January 28 in Denver “.”

It didn’t take long before “Gamebred” Jorge Masvidal hopped into the conversation, even dropping the But That’s None of My Business emojis.

Cerrone emphasized that Twitter talk gets no one anywhere, and Masvidal claims that his team has already called/texted/emailed.

Where it goes from here is anyone’s guess, but just like Cowboy Cerrone said, “That’s a fight the fans would love to see.”
